Thread Leg Veins
Thread Leg Veins treatment
Thread leg veins are very common with 20% of women under 30 suffering from thread leg veins and 1 in 2 women over 50 years of age experiencing the condition.
Thread veins (telangiectasis) can appear on the face commonly on the nose and cheeks but also on arms and legs. Thread Veins appear as very fine red veins and can be seen in older women as the skin is thinner which leads to the exposure of the thread veins. Small spider veins and thread veins can also produce symptoms of aching legs, swelling and even pain.
Thread veins cannot lead to varicose veins. If you have varicose veins you are also very likely to have thread veins, but if you have thread veins it does not mean that you will experience varicose veins. Lasers and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) can be used to remove thread veins on the face, body and legs. Laser treatments are very effective in reducing fine and large thread veins and a course of treatments will usually provide significant improvement.
